  • Phill - Head of Ops

    I’ve been passionate about aviation since I was a kid, building makeshift cockpits long before I ever stepped into a real aircraft. I started flying at 16 and have since worked across charter and flight instruction throughout Australia.

    What drives me most is helping others achieve their goals — especially watching students reach their first solo or licence and knowing I played a small part in their journey.

  • Nad - Founder & CEO

    Nad is the co-founder of Nu Era Airways, which he conceived alongside his former flight instructor, Jeff Swain. A seasoned pilot and former Senior Civil Construction Engineer, Nad brings over two decades of international business leadership experience across the Middle East and Asia. He founded Southeast Airways to redefine air travel—delivering an experience of affordable luxury backed by operational excellence and hands-on expertise.

  • Jeff - Chief Pilot

    Jeff Swain is the Chief Pilot and Chief Flight Instructor at Southeast Airways, supporting flight training alongside Nad Soole. Flying since 1995 with over 5,000 hours of experience, Jeff also contributes his expertise in aviation customer experience and business mentorship. His leadership ensures passengers enjoy the professional, high-quality difference that defines Southeast Airways.

  • George - Grade 1 Instructor

    George joined Southeast Airways as a Grade 1 Flight Instructor and Flight Examiner, bringing a lifelong passion for aviation that began at Bankstown Airport in 1987. After a successful career in law, he returned to flying, earning his Commercial Pilot Licence and Flight Instructor Rating, and now guides pilots from beginner to instructor level. Off-duty, George enjoys exploring the outdoors through four-wheel driving and bushwalking.

  • James - Saftey Manager

    40 years airline experience.
    25 years Line and Simulator training inclusive of recurrent and promotional training within a major international airline.

  • Steve - Grade 1 Instructor / Testing Officer

    Steve is a highly experienced Grade 1 Flight Instructor and CASA-approved Flight Examiner with over 38 years in aviation. Known as a “teacher’s teacher,” he specialises in instructor training, flight testing, and pilot development across Australia, with many of his students progressing to careers in general aviation and airlines worldwide. Passionate about mentoring the next generation of pilots, Steve continues to play an active role in supporting and advising the aviation industry. ✈️

  • Amy - Flight Instructor

    Amy’s passion for aviation began in childhood, inspired by countless trips to the airport watching aircraft take to the skies. After pursuing two degrees and building a career and family, she followed her lifelong dream of flying and became a flight instructor. Amy is passionate about mentoring students and finds great fulfillment in helping aspiring pilots achieve their aviation goals. ✈️

  • Andy - Flight Instructor

    Andy is a Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor who has been flying since 2016, holding multi-engine instrument training and a passion for developing confident, capable pilots. He enjoys creating a supportive learning environment where students can build strong flying skills and achieve their aviation goals. Outside of instructing, Andy is passionate about aerobatics and continually refining his own flying abilities. ✈️
